Arnold Arre and The Mythology Class

I'm not really a fan of comics. But I do read them if its interesting to my eyes. If it is informative and comedy I make it a point to finish it until the end. I am expose to different types of media this year. So, I decided why not be more knowledgeable of comics.

Comics is a medium used to express ideas via images, often combined with text or other visual information. Comics frequently takes the form of juxtaposed sequences of panels of images. Often textual devices such as speech balloons, captions, and onomatopoeia indicate dialogue, narration, sound effects, or other information. Size and arrangement of panels contribute to narrative pacing.
Mr. Jamie Bautista gave a brief explanation of what is Comics.
A common illustration is the station of the cross.

Somehow I'm  interested in getting to know the best things in the market to make life more efficient and time saving. I got all my gadgets from my sister. Ikr ... such a loser. lol. This event was held last December 3 at One Esplanade.
There was this videographer in front of us. It was a hard time to take pictures :p

Paano Ba 'To Book Launch and Signing by Bianca Gonzalez

This was my second time to attend or experience to fall in line and have my book signed by the author. This year is somehow amazing for me because of new experiences. Until now there are still few pages I haven't read though. I'm not a slow reader. I'm just really analyzing every pages of the book. The book launched was almost a month ago, November 29 held at NBS Glorietta. Remember my first here .

My First Philippine Fashion Week Experience Part 3.1

With his trademark hand at luxury pieces, Cherry Samuya Veric followed with his stunningly-crafted collection entitled Svelte. True to his collection's name, Cherry's pieces were sultry and sexy - close-to-the-body silhouettes were abound, detailed with glitz and sparkle in predominantly nude and scarlet hues. Coupled with hand-embossed metal filigree belts, Cherry's pieces (both the meticulously-detailed ones, and the sleek, contemporary solids that made an appearance in his collection as well) gave his series an artfully rich edge. To close his segment, beauty queens Venus Raj and Shamcey Supsup glided down the runways in ethereally-voluminous numbers, followed by Cherry's breathtaking finale: a floor-length number made entirely of golden hand-embossed tiles.

Just showing up unedited photos I've taken during the fashion week. It was really hard to capture models on the runway when you're not part of the VIP or front seat.

I tried to zoom my camera lens. This is what I got. I usually take pictures holding the camera  by horizontal.

I realized that I could capture a good photo by holding or positioning the camera vertically. Look how beautiful that gown is. Simple yet elegant.

Press Release: 2015 Stamp Calendar Launch last November 24, 2014

PHLPost Culminates National Stamp Collecting Month

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) offers quadruple treats  as part of the culminating activities of the National Stamp Collecting Month last November.

With barely some weeks before Christmas, PHLPost will launch the "Pasko 2014" special stamps that feature Filipino traditions and values of giving and merrymaking shared among families and friends Monday morning of November 24, at the Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros, Manila.

This years's set of holiday stamps designed by the corporation's layout artist Rodine Teodoro illustrates Filipino Christmas traditions showing the new born Jesus with Mary and Joseph in traditional Filipino clothing, the all time favorite Christmas caroling, "Pagmamano" - a symbol of respect for elderly Filipinos, and the traditional "Noche Buena" during Christmas Eve. When put side by side in a block of four, the four stamps form the Filipino lantern in the middle. PHLPost printed 104,000 copies of the four designs of the stamps, with P 10 denomination.

In the same event, PHLPost is set to award cash prize of P 15,000 each for four winning entries in the Papal Visit "On the Spot" Stamp Design Contest.

The designs of Dave Arjay Tan and Salvador Banares Jr. both from Valenzuela City, were selected for the professional category while the entries of Don Bryan Michael Bunag and Mark Leo Maac both from the province of Bulacan, had been adjudged as the winners for the student category.

The highlight of the program was the presentation of the 2015 Philippine Stamp Calendar with several new technologies lined-up starting with the issuance of the Pope Francis Visit special stamps to be printed in 3D Embossing and Hot Foil Stamping Coinage stamps.

Starting next year, PHLPost will introduce metallic printing, special composite perforation, satin finish thermal ink (color changing) and peel-off sticker stamps to enhance the look and feel of the upcoming postage stamp issuance. This will also make the country's stamps at par with international standards.

"We have been very blessed to release stamps adopting never-before-seen technology, the first in the history of the Philippine Post, We will use the modern printing technology as we continue to feature very interesting subjects for our stamps to further the appreciation of the public," Postmaster General Josie Dela Cruz said.

This year, PHLPost applied glow in the dark, scented, tactile 3D embossed, gold foiling and diamond powder technology in printing its stamps.

PHLPost also launch "Selyo Magazine", a quarterly publication of stamps which can be useful for stamp collectors and students as well.

Welcome Message by PHLPost Chairman Cesar Sarino

My First ever Philippine Fashion Week experience Part 2.

Joey Espino

Opening the show with a captivating, touching video on promoting peace in the Bangsamoro, Arnold Galang's new I am for Peace collection was a contemporary yet symbolic presentation for Spring Summer 2015. With silhouettes and separates that pay homage to the shape and cuts of the traditional baro't saya (but done in a chic, minimalist way), Arnold's pieces were vibrantly printed and at times, surprisingly embellished. Seemingly contrasting elements reflected his fashion edict that harmony can exist despite seemingly opposing details, creating a playfully modern look, but with a deeply relevant voice.

Can you spot Miss Ces Drilon?
Just showing up how hard it was to capture a photo of a model from far section. I'm just a post-and-shoot user and need to zoom my camera lens to be able to get focus shot.
