MICHELIN takes the challenge for energy efficiency, safety and innovation in Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2015

MANILA, Philippines—Michelin, in global partnership with Shell, welcomes back the Shell Eco-Marathon Asia (SEMA) for its second year in the Philippines at Luneta Park, Manila on February 26 to March 1, 2015.
The Shell Eco-Marathon is an international competition wherein student teams must create a safe and energy-efficient vehicle that promotes sustainable solutions for mobility. MICHELIN continues as the Official Global Partner and Tire Supplier of the event in 2015.

An increased number of student teams will participate in SEMA 2015, with 127 teams from 17 countries from the Asia-Pacific and delegates from Australia, Saudi Arabia, Oman and South Africa. From the Philippines alone, 25 universities from all over the country with as much as 34 participating prototype vehicles are joining this year. The SEMA 2014 had 109 teams from 15 countries, and 15 teams from the Philippines among them.

“The Michelin and Shell partnership are aligned with valuing innovation for better mobility, that also pursues energy-efficient and safe solutions for mobility.” said Michael Nunag, Chief Representative of MICHELIN Philippines.

The MICHELIN tires for Shell Eco-Marathon are well-designed tires that are lightweight and provide low rolling resistance, providing optimal traction and longer travel time for the prototype vehicles. These tires are approximately 6 times more efficient than one of the best energy efficient tires on the market (MICHELIN Energy EV). MICHELIN will also be providing technical assistance and support to all the participant teams throughout the competition, by supporting them with safety advice and how to best utilize the tires for their vehicles to get the best performance.

Apart from the sponsor exhibition where the public will have a chance to see the product and performances of Michelin Tires, Michelin will host the MICHELIN Road Safety City 2015 at the Fanzone area at the SEMA 2015.  A first for SEMA in Manila, the concept behind MICHELIN Road Safety City is to get everyone, especially the kids, in on the importance of road safety.

“Road Safety is everyone’s responsibility. With Michelin Road Safety City 2015, what we want to bring to all the participants is the basic but important knowledge that will keep them safe on the road.  This includes respecting traffic rules, the meaning of road signs, and how to avoid danger on the road. All the activities are designed to demonstrate the importance of road safety, with the hope that this will help to reduce road accidents,” said Ruedee Euachongprasit, Director of Communication and Brands, Michelin East Asia and Australia.

Communication & Brands Director for MICHELIN East Asia and Australia Ruedee Euachongprasit discusses the importance of using the right tires for road safety and fuel efficiency during the MICHELIN Press Conference on Energy Efficiency, Safety and Innovation at the Shell Eco-Marathon.

What I missed Last January 2015

I missed #StatusTalks with Jeff Staple last January 25. Yes! A month ago, same day as the National news about Mamasapano.

1.A food review somewhere in Makati with  Miss Sol Razo.
2. Victoria Court Blogcon. I confirmed my attendance and cancel the same day.
3. Fusion Philippines Music Festival.
All these three happened last January 30, 2015. It was National Mourning day for SAF 44.

The following day was WANDERLAND BATTLE OF THE BAND Finals. It was scheduled on 4 pm. I have another go-to agenda that day too which was an invite from Larc and asset pr for the ALTA MODA FARRALES. It was stated in the email that the program will start by 6pm. But it started by 8pm. I lost the chance of winning a ticket for this year WANDER LAND Festival because I chose to be at the Rizal Ballroom for the last night of the last month of January. I thank God for this wonderful Adios Enero experience.

Supreme Business Solutions Launch Event

I already posted the press release here. It was my first time to attend a food/beauty and wellness plus business opportunity event last January 13, 2015. It got me thinking again how stupid I was for finishing my course in college which is Marketing. I am not kidding. I won't go on further details anymore on what happened.
Supreme's President Jeffrey Pelayo.
This guy is so funny! So hilarious that I forgot his name. lol. He shared about his pasts jobs experiences and how he got into network marketing.

Some of the Supreme products that were given to us. Supreme Like A Virgin soap, L-Arginine Plus, Garcinia Cambogia, Dead Sea Salt Scrub, Supreme Glutathione Collagen Soap.

I'm not good with product review so this is just a feature. I already used up the Collagen soap and Dead Sea Salt scrub. They were nice. I gave the Garcinia Cambogia and L-arginine to my newly wed sister. :P

TREE TOP ADVENTURE: Experience the Extreme Press Conference

Experience the Extreme Press Conference

On February 21, 2015, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tree Top Adventure will hold its very 1st press conference and media tour in which over twenty participants from the TV, online, radio and print industries will attend.
The program will be graced by Tree Top Adventure’s CEO Ms. Ma. Camille O. Montejo. A short program will be presented with a question and answer portion will take place first before proceeding with the tour in which the participants will try all the rides. They would also be trying the only motorized team building facilities in the Philippines.

Tree Top Adventure features six activities: two slow paced and four fast paced activities. One slow paced activity is the Trekking adventure in which you’ll be toured within the area. The tour guide will be introducing local plants and trees and share interesting facts about them. If one wants to see the forest and appreciate nature from the top of the trees, they could try the Canopy ride. The entire ride has a hanging bridge and five stations which can carry three persons at a time in which you’ll be transferring from one tree to another. For heart pounding activities, one might want to try the Superman Ride, a horizontal motorized zip line in which you’ll be soaring back and forth in less than a minute. Another activity you could try is the parachute fall in which you’ll be going upwards, slowly, and when you’re 75 feet above the ground, you’ll suddenly fall. If you literally want to surf in the air, you could try the Silver Surfer, an inclined zip line that swings you back and forth between two trees. If you want to experience the extreme, we recommend you the Tree Drop in which you’ll be suspended 60 feet above the ground, mission impossible style and you’ll be dropped in a matter of seconds only.

Tree Top Adventure also offers the only motorized Team Building facilities in the Philippines in which participants would be challenged physically, mentally and even emotionally.

Tree Top Adventure’s another branch, located at the Camp John Hay Baguio City, will also hold its press conference and media tour on March 14, 2015.
