BDJ BOX Global Glam

This event was more than a week ago. It was the only time I decided to attend a Belle De Jour event or event by Viviamo! I arrived around 11 am. I tried to looked for fellow Bellas who are also fellow bloggers but I only met two, Ate Denise and Nicole. They arrived late so we weren't together. I noticed that BDJ veterans weren't there too. I didn't attend the BDJ Box Beauty Camp because I didn't know how to get there.

First booth I went to was the GSK. Secondly, the Revlon booth. They were introducing the Photo Ready Eye Art product. Third, just signed up for the raffle in Covergirl. Next, the Morrison premium and  V 10 Plus. Finally, decided to lined up in The Face Shop.

Here's what happened in the event.
First talk of the day: Multicultural Gorgeousness with MAC. I'm still roaming around during this time.

BDJ BOX Beauty Ministry. I signed up in for this talk.
The Look of Love by Revlon

Finally, saw this popular beauty blogger.
Loot Bags

Long line in The Face Shop Booth.

Talk by Covergirl
I left already before the last Talk.
I went home with these.

Pasts BDJ Box events were better than this event.

Press Release: Combi World's Biggest Pop Song

Combi hits all the right notes

How can unrelated things be combined into something really big and fun for an amazing result? The many fans of Rebisco's Combi crackers found out when they participated in the Combi World's Biggest POPulation Song!

Held from June 5 to July 25, 2015, people were encouraged to send in video sound clips that matched the weekly themes. These clips were intended to be used in an extraordinary song in which all clips would be combined! For each time period, the best clips were selected and rewarded with cool Humlan headphones from notable audio specialist Urbanears.

The result was overwhelming. In just over a month, more than 500 video sound clips had been received, comprising a wide range of interesting and creative sound bites from sources ranging from household items to animals and even body parts! The best, however, was yet to come.

On September 10, 2015, media friends and winners of the weekly themes trooped to the well-known URBN Bar & Kitchen in Bonifacio Global City. The agenda: the launch of the Combi World's Biggest POPulation Song! Made utilizing the multitude of video sound clips submitted, it was matched with a video that fully highlighted how unusual combinations can give an amazing result.

The song was revealed amid much fanfare in an event filled with fun games and music by the Buganda Drumbeaters and popular electronica maven Kat DJ. The charming and lively host for that evening was Alodia Gosiengfiao, a fixture in the local cosplay scene who is also known to effortlessly create quirky and eye-catching combinations of her own.

The lively host closed the event by asking everyone to tune in for more Combi surprises, leaving attendees eagerly awaiting this. The fun continued after as Kat DJ's beats brought people to the dance floor to groove to her unique musical creations.

The fun that people had during this event just goes to show how unusual things can be combined for an amazing result. In that way, it was just like Combi, in which crackers, wafers and filling or cookies, wafers and filling are combined for a snack that is truly amazing and definitely delicious!

Combi Pop Party.

Two weeks ago, I received a very surprising invite. An invite for an exclusive party about a new song/sounds. I don't even know the sender but I confirmed my attendance anyway. Hello, weirdo! (Talk to myself) Days before the event, I found it very interesting bcos it would be my first time in URBN Kitchen and Bar although I've heard of the place before. The main reason of the gathering was for the launch of Combi World’s Biggest Pop Song – made from sounds submitted by the population. Combi team gathered the sounds for months. Now, they are ready to share the song for everyone.

It was my second time in the Fort Point II Building. Been there for the CDO@40 Run for Odyssey press con weeks ago. I rarely go to The Fort Strip area because I usually stroll around Market! Market! Mall and Bonifacio High Street. Anyway, It was raining so bad that night. I kept myself calm while travelling and managed to got inside the bar a little wet because I don't have a car. :p Finally, I met Martin. hehe. The place was very well designed for the Combi Pop Party if you only saw the walls in every part of the bar during that night.

The DJ's set and the dance floor.

Opening number. Instrumental sounds with the used of different sounding materials.
Sorry forgot the name of the group who performed.

Alodia Gosiengfiao was the host for that night.
Obviously, I was seated in the left side facing her. Had a hard time capturing a photo of her because of the spotlight.

Press Conference Experiences. A Band's New Single and Tourism Partnership. Plus, a Sports Channel acquired an Exclusive rights to televise a Football league Here in Asia.

There are really a lot of perks when you do business blogging. Examples are food tasting, meeting celebs, getting freebies, going to a new place, etc. I know a lot of bloggers started as personal online diarists of their thoughts and whereabouts. Just like me, I had Xanga, Live Journal, Multiply, and so on and so forth. But I sticked with blogspot because I find it easy to use. A lot of bloggers have a particular niche. Lifestyle bloggers can blog about everything from tech to home and living etcetera. So, I think if you want to earn through blogging "mas madali kapag lifestyle.

I'd like to share these photos from the events I've been to this year. It was a first for me to attend a Music media night or music press conference wherein there were Radio Disc jockeys from different stations, band members from different genre, artists from other forms of arts etc. and a Sports media conference for a television channel. When I created this blog, I thought of helping promote local products but now I lost track. I'm a chopsuey blogger now. Lol.

I have to erase the info of the people who made it possible for me to get in the events.

Spectrum Fair Manila

I went here on a sunny Saturday afternoon. I was alone. I thought I'd be able to dragged some fellow blogger acquaintances here bcos I was just in another near area before I went here. Anyway, I really thought of shopping a piece of clothing here. I saw Aryanna Epperson before I got inside the Whitespace building. She was leaving by the time when arrived. When I saw photos on instagram the days before, I knew that the event place would looked pretty colorful and nice. True enough when I got in here a lot of merchants were selling colorful stuffs.

Near the entrance is the French Quarter. It was a food merchant.

Run50. The Ferdie Cabiling Project.

RUN50: 50 YEARS OLD PASTOR TO #RUNACROSSTHEPH

Ferdie Cabiling is turning 50 years old on September 8. To commemorate the half-century mark, the "Running Pastor," as Ferdie is popularly known, has decided to run across the Philippines, for the benefit of the Real LIFE Foundation.

"I have seen reasons to run," Ferdie says, when asked why he decided to take on such a daunting challenge besides the obvious reasons like health and exercise." The long distance veteran - he's logged in several marathons under his belt, including the 2nd Bataan Death March (102K) and the Bataan Death March (160K)  ultra-marathons--grins.

"As a fifty year old man," he says, "I am running for health. Secondly, as a Filipino citizen," I run for the scholars of the Real LIFE Foundation."

A Christian non-profit organization passionate about providing a better future for underprivileged Filipinos by giving them access to a good education and transforming their communities through community service, the Real LIFE Foundation and its partners currently support more than 250 scholars across the Philippines.

"We are taking a high school graduates with honors," Ferdie says, "but because of sheer poverty, they can't seem to have access to college education. I will be raising one thousand pesos per kilometer."

Ferdie expects to run 2,180 kilometers across the country, starting from Sarangani and ending in Cagayan. That's two million pesos.

"Thirdly, as a Christian," Ferdie adds, "I run for the peace of the city by intercession, prayer and gospel proclamation for those in authority." Plans for Ferdie include courtesy calls to the town and city halls of the places he will run past, starting from Maasim, Sarangani, en route to his finishing stop in Aparri, Cagayan.

"Fourthly," he says, "I run for the people of Victory and the evangelical Christians." All Sundays of #RUN50, Ferdie will preach at Victory churches and other Bible-believing churches along the Maharlika Pan-Philippines Highway.

"This is an opportunity to be able to proclaim the gospel of Christ in the pulpits of these churches," Ferdie grins. The avid runner acknowledges it will be an epic and raw adventures.

"The idea of running around the corner in a new place is already a a treat, my fifth reason," says Ferdie. "Running across the country? It's even more exhilarating. I get the chance to see, on foot, the beauty of nature!" ..."At the same time," he adds, "I will get to take a look, first hand, the plight of most of our countrymen across the nation. Why we were tagged as a Third World Country. I know you don't have to run across the country to see that. But the reality of why ten million Filipinos are OFWs (Overseas Filipino workers) spread around the world is just mind boggling."

"I know God is allowing us as a nation to experience HIS grand plan. It may seem that we were forced to leave the country for economic reasons, but I know God, being a Turn-around Specialist, is able to make us a blessing to the world!"

"Sixth, as a FAMILY MAN," Ferdie syas," I run for those who can't because of some physiological conditions, there are so many of our country men who are considered as person with disability. And what is the connection of being a Family man to being concern with these types of people? My only eleven year old son was born with disability called Sturgeon-Weber syndrome. He can walk and tries to run sometimes to show off to daddy, but he does it by literally dragging his right leg which was affected by this inborn condition of the brain."

"Finally, as a believer," says Ferdie," I run for God's glory and pleasure. I like to align myself to this quote from a runner himself. Eric Liddell says in this 1981 film " Chariots of Fire, "I believe God made me for a purpose and He also made me fast. When I run, I feel HIS pleasure."
