PISOBAKUNA: Teachers As Ambassadors of Vaccination.

History of Glovax Biotech Corporation

Glovax started in 2003 with a capital of only P 80,000 which were earned from the wedding gifts of Mr. Giovanni C. Alingog, a CPA by profession and his wife who happens to be a pediatrician, Doc Geraldine Quijano-Alingog. They sold duplicates items that they received as gifts such as toasters and microwaves.

Glovax was founded because Doc Geraldine kept nagging back then about vaccines not being available or not being delivered on time. "I am sure many of our doctor friends have experienced that a few decades ago", says Mr. Alingog. Because of that social problem then, Mr. Giovanni was prompted to found a solution.

They found out that not only vaccines were not being delivered on time but worst, vaccines were not available then. And they were very expensive. Mr. Alingog looked back and wondered if vaccines were not available because they were expensive or they were expensive because unavailability. It was the time when Mr. Alingog was hit by the idea or mission to found out and provide solution as to why vaccines were not available and why they were expensive then.

The calling was heard and felt to came up with a solution. Because if he didn't, his wife might be nagging to him until this day. LOL.

Press Release: Austrian Architect, Designer and Restaurateur, Expat living in Thailand nails personal service and moves personalization to a new level.

BANGKOK, Thailand, April 2016

Florian Gypser has done it again! The Austrian trained architect living in Bangkok, is applying the personalized service that is behind the success of his awardwinning restaurant Nang Gin Kui to fashion design with the opening of a leather studio and the launch of an ecologically friendly minimal belt.

“Our experience at Nang Gin Kui has made us realize that highly focused personal service is the key to success. We hope this formula in combination with the unique service that we offer will be wellreceived in our new craft based enterprise.’

Baelts by Florian Gypser is an attempt to transform the restaurant experience in a new fashion label based on craft and limitless personalize of customization leather products. It is all about the combination of a simplified, minimal leather belt with an innovative service to emboss (brand) any given artwork onto the leather. It is the first buckle less belt made from ecologically sourced veg-tanned full grain Thai water buffalo leather. The product was born from Florian's passion for artisanal perfection and minimal design, as well as his desire to create a meaningful personalized product for his family and friends.

The comprehensive inhouse bespoke and personalization service is provided by Florian and his team of an interior designer Daniel and Harvard graduates Li and Awais. The team works to perfect the fit and look of each belt and the artwork with the objective to keep pants up and give the consumer personalized daily wardrobes for decades.

“My passion to create a meaningful experience or object is driven by the direct participation of the person doing it for” says Florian.

Nang Gin Kui Bangkok Private Dining, which operates out of Florian’s loftlike apartment is a unique dining experience limited to a small group of guests per night. The restaurant has been featured in numerous media outlets around the world and was voted the #1 restaurant in Bangkok for more than 2 years between 2013 and 2015 on Tripadvisor.

Florian says that spending entire evenings with guests from all around the world, knowing them by their names and listening to their personal stories has made him understand that: behind the clinical term “customer” is a real person. A person just like him, who lives a life with dreams, achievements, family and friends and yearns to experience memorable times.

Baelts operates out of a quirky workshop in Bangkok’s exotic Chinatown one of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods. This project is in many ways a return to craftsmanship for Florian, as the belts are made by hand, in house, individually for each customer rather than being massproduced in a nameless factory.

Press Release: Herbalife’s Nutrition At Work Survey Reveals Majority of Philippines’ Workforce Lead Largely Sedentary Lifestyles, Putting them at Risk of Obesity

Fifth Herbalife Asia-Pacific Wellness Tour seeks to address health issues associated with sedentary lifestyles, and deepen practical understanding on the benefits of a healthy, active life

PHILIPPINES, April 25, 2016 – Herbalife, a global nutrition company, has released the findings of the new Nutrition At Work Survey, which revealed that the majority of Philippines’ workforce leads largely sedentary lifestyles, putting them at risk of obesity. The Survey1, which was designed to understand the lifestyle habits and attitudes of Asia Pacific’s modern workforce, was conducted in March with 5,500 full-time workers in 11 Asia-Pacific markets, including 500 workers from the Philippines.

According to the survey findings, almost nine out of 10 (85%) workers in the Philippines spend at least six hours a day sitting at their desk, with 52% of its workforce eating lunch at their work desk two to five times per week. The survey also revealed that majority of Philippines’ workforce (86%) exercise less than three times per week, with five out of 10 getting less than 30 minutes of physical activity a day at their workplace. This suggests a significantly worrying trend locally, on the back of rising obesity rates recorded in recent years.

Nevertheless, the risk of obesity could be averted if workers in the Philippines decide to take control over their own nutritional intake and exercise regimen. Close to eight out of 10 workers(75%) affirmed that they strive to live a healthy, active life, however, the majority of them noted that they find it difficult to stay active during workdays.

“With a majority of Philippines’ workforce leading largely sedentary lifestyles, our mission as a global nutrition company is to help people in the Philippine stake practical steps towards leading healthy, active lives.By inculcating positive nutrition and active lifestyle habits to people in the Philippines, we hope that this will, over time, help reduce obesity risks and lead to positive improvements to the well-being of our people,”said Mr. Rosalio Valenzuela, General Manager of Herbalife Philippines.
