Press Release: Austrian Architect, Designer and Restaurateur, Expat living in Thailand nails personal service and moves personalization to a new level.

BANGKOK, Thailand, April 2016

Florian Gypser has done it again! The Austrian trained architect living in Bangkok, is applying the personalized service that is behind the success of his awardwinning restaurant Nang Gin Kui to fashion design with the opening of a leather studio and the launch of an ecologically friendly minimal belt.

“Our experience at Nang Gin Kui has made us realize that highly focused personal service is the key to success. We hope this formula in combination with the unique service that we offer will be wellreceived in our new craft based enterprise.’

Baelts by Florian Gypser is an attempt to transform the restaurant experience in a new fashion label based on craft and limitless personalize of customization leather products. It is all about the combination of a simplified, minimal leather belt with an innovative service to emboss (brand) any given artwork onto the leather. It is the first buckle less belt made from ecologically sourced veg-tanned full grain Thai water buffalo leather. The product was born from Florian's passion for artisanal perfection and minimal design, as well as his desire to create a meaningful personalized product for his family and friends.

The comprehensive inhouse bespoke and personalization service is provided by Florian and his team of an interior designer Daniel and Harvard graduates Li and Awais. The team works to perfect the fit and look of each belt and the artwork with the objective to keep pants up and give the consumer personalized daily wardrobes for decades.

“My passion to create a meaningful experience or object is driven by the direct participation of the person doing it for” says Florian.

Nang Gin Kui Bangkok Private Dining, which operates out of Florian’s loftlike apartment is a unique dining experience limited to a small group of guests per night. The restaurant has been featured in numerous media outlets around the world and was voted the #1 restaurant in Bangkok for more than 2 years between 2013 and 2015 on Tripadvisor.

Florian says that spending entire evenings with guests from all around the world, knowing them by their names and listening to their personal stories has made him understand that: behind the clinical term “customer” is a real person. A person just like him, who lives a life with dreams, achievements, family and friends and yearns to experience memorable times.

Baelts operates out of a quirky workshop in Bangkok’s exotic Chinatown one of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods. This project is in many ways a return to craftsmanship for Florian, as the belts are made by hand, in house, individually for each customer rather than being massproduced in a nameless factory.

Baelts recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to gauge interest in the marketplace which ran until May 15, 2016. The campaign can be visited here.
